I'm a Belmont grad! I would definitely recommend it. All instructors are great and highly qualified, most have been at Belmont for years. The facility is state of the art--the labs are all set up like hospital rooms with 02, suction, and everything realistic. Clinical groups are small, mine were all 6-7 students. Labs were also pretty small, no more than 12 or 14 of us at a time. Clinicals are done in a variety of hospitals, mostly HCA hospitals and Vandy. Message me if you need more info! I loved Belmont! The biggest con is the tuition!

what about diversity within program? my main concern is anantomy and physiology and microbiology. i suck in science because i do not put forth effort to learn it well but over the years i have had teachers who didnt not break it down to me or didnt help me learn it. are their teachers that will work with you for sciences? idk how to message yet. im learning(lol)

I'll be honest, A&P at Belmont is challenging. I was always a 4.0 straight-A student, and made a C. A lot of people took A&P at a local community college and transferred it over, which would save you $$ as well. And Belmont actually doesn't require Micro! (Unless they have changed this since I graduated). Also, I wouldn't say there's a ton of diversity at Belmont..but there is some!

What color are the scrubs at Belmont? Also- I heard they (Belmont) doesn't teach you how to give a proper shot to a patient? Please fill me in, thanks!

When I started nursing school, we had to wear solid white scrubs (any brand), and Belmont patches were given to us to put on the sleeves. Now they are allowed to wear navy or royal blue scrub pants with the white tops. I definitely learned how to give proper injections! Gave lots of SQ in clinicals, and Belmont nursing students do a flu shot clinic for a local neighborhood every year, so I got plenty of practice with IM as well.

    Hey ladies,

Can anyone provide further information on how much paper writing in APA format is required for the program?

Gracias for the information thus far!
