Vanderbilt's Nurse Residency Program

Ah it feels like I have been waiting forever! I don't know how you guys have waited so long since your interviews. The anticipation is absolutely killing me! I just keep waiting for the email to come to my blackberry..sooo nervous! Hopefully we'll know by next week, this week preferrably. I hope everyone gets good news. I'll keep ya updated. Thank you all for the encouragement.

I got a decline letter and so did 2 others from my school...I even have experience in a hospital and EMT....I don't get it. Those who got in, did you have a bachelor degree? I am trying to figure out what happened...

CHARLENE212- I do have a BSN, but I know that is not the only factor. I still don't know how they pick people and how they place people. My whole Peds interviews I talked about NICU...that's were my practicum was and my tech job and I didn't get Peds CC track. I got an offer for the general Peds track. But, at least it was in peds and I can work my way up. But, don't give up. There was this one girl that I know just got word she is on the waiting list and she has so much positive nursing background it's crazy and she didn't get an offer.

Thanks Jenn....I asked about NICU a lot too since that is where I wanted to be and have experience too (experience in ER, Adult ICU, NICU and L&D)...I am really disappointed I didn't even get on the waiting list.
