Vanderbilt Interviews

I recently got an email stating I qualified for an interview for the Pediatric Track at Vanderbilt!! I lived in Tennessee for 3 years and am hoping to get back there (I am in Texas now). I am wondering if anybody can give advice and questions they asked during the interview. I am also wondering what the difference is between the 1st interview and the 2nd interview. How long do you wait until you hear back after the interviews?

Thanks!!

Congratulations Carlene212!!!!!! I also received an e-mail for an interview at Vanderbilt. It is for the Adult track so I am not sure if the interview method is going to be different for the Peds track. As far as I know the interviews consist primarily of situational experiences. My friend was in another Vanderbilt Residency program and she only had to go through one interview. I am not sure about the Peds track though. Hopefully someone will be able to help you more. Good luck

I apllied too. I will interview for an Adult Track in late October. I wonder myself what the next step could be after a panel interview.

you ladies may benefit from going to vanderbilt's website. the link from the nurse residency program has a question and answer that gives you the answer to pretty much any question you would have about the program. It stated that for the winter 2010 candidates, interviews are held all throughout the month of october and that they hope to make final decisions by mid november. They will notifiy those they want to offer a position to via e-mail in which they will send an offer letter and new employee packet with other info, orientation dates etc. I hope that helps. But seriously after i read the question and answer section on the website i can't even think of any questions i would need to ask during the interview because all of the info is there.

Good luck!
