TN tech elizabethton lpn program

I called today to ask about the lpn program and the lady I spoke to said that the may class was full, and she said that the september class was full but not everyone had take there test yet. My question is for anyone that has gone there, or knows anything about the lpn program there...what are the chances that some people decide not to go there or some people fail the test and not get accepted? I really don't want to have to wait until January.

Or...does anyone know of any other lpn program in northeast tn?

I think that Tennessee Tech Center and Blount Memorial Hospital have the only LPN programs in East Tennessee. I just got accepted into BMH's LPN program, which starts later this month. They had over 200 applicants for 22 openings though so there is a lot of competition. They said that the next class would start in October and testing would start sometime in July so you should go to the hospital's website and they might have the info there. I heard it is a really good program. I hope so anyway. The tuition is $4600 for the 11 month program and they do offer some scholarships but I didn't get one. Anyway, good luck to you.

Don't forget, TN Tech Elizabethton has 4 classes going usually. There is the Arney street campus, starts in May, then there is the campus by the Eliz airport (where I go, starts again in Sep). Then there are the Bristol and Kingsport classes (not sure of starting dates).

When I applied, I came for info on thur, then on mon picked up the application, they passed out 200 applications for 85 slots on a first come, first served basis. Alot of people I know have failed the entrance exam on the first try. But normally out of that 200 people, they'll have enough to fill a class. I believe that the Bristol class only had 25 people start this last time and were down to 10 students I think, don't hold me to the numbers though.

We started with 89 students, we're down to around 50 give or take now. After Finals in Pharm next week, we will lose a few more. Hope to finish with at least 40.

Take care, good luck

Tony
