Has anyone been to Tennessee Technology's nursing program at memphis? I had a interview last week, and I wanted to know more about it.

Well I didn't go to the one in Memphis, I went to Covington... but I did talk to some people from there and our programs were basically the same... it's kinda rigorous because it's fast paced... but it is all worth it... you learn all you need to learn to pass NCLEX... and I heard that the instructors are nice but mean business...

I will be starting a TN tech center this fall...I have ONLY heard how hard and and fast-paced things are. I wish someone would say,"study hard and you can do it! You'll love this year!" Unfortuanatly, most comments are just plain negative

I wasn't being negative... as a matter of fact I said it's worth it to quote myself... but you also need to go into it serious because it is hard and it is fast paced... you need to know these things because if you're not serious it's easy to slack behind... but that doesn't mean at all that it can't be done... and when you pass and get through it you will understand because you will feel so accomplished because YOU out of the 100's that applied made it to the class... and YOU out of the 20 or so in the class made it to the end... you'll be so proud of yourself and its that difficulty and fast paced environment that gave you that sense of accomplishment and pride... in no way was I downing the program but saying it was fast paced actually... I think it's a great thing because it prepares you for so much... and I'm so glad that I did it... and I'm glad it's hard and fast paced... but yes you are right if you study hard and be serious you will pass and make it...

My comment wasn't in anyway directed to you personally I see how it probably came across that way. I was just saying thats all I really hear about it. But I am glad people are upfront so I don't walk in thinking it's a piece of cake.

I attend TTC @ Dickson. It is extremely challenging and fast paced. However, you can do fine if you establish a healthy routine and try to stay ahead. Be honest regarding your weaknesses and never let pride prevent you from asking for help. I love the TTC method. I am told all the Tech Centers are supposed to pretty much follow the same format. You can do it. More importantly, you can earn it.

I am about to complete my first month. I appreciate your comment, because there are a few people in my class that were not in anyway prepared for the fast pace we work. We cover multiple chapters in a days and can expect to test on it the next day. Sometimes, we will have 2 or three tests in a day. However, I love it. I heard about the break neck speed of info delivery, but hearing about it and experiencing it for myself was a whole 'nother ball game. You are right. I really feel like I am accomplishing something.
