Tennessee Board of Regents Online AASN/ADN program

by dee78

Is anyone else applying for the fall program? What is your home school?

Is anyone currently enrolled in this program? I've applied but would like to know a little more information than is available on the website.

I have actually applied to the RODP with homeschool at TSU. I recently was accepted into LMU RN division this month and not sure which direction I am going in. With the RODP you have to either an LPN or certified or licensed in another healthcare field. You have to apply online and from there your paperwork goes to a Board to see if you even qualify to be sent further into the process. It is a drawn out process, but it is doable. I recieved email just this wekk stating I had been referred to my "homeschool" which is TSU in Nashville. From there the TSU Nursing division will once again review paperwork and let me know if I was accepted into their program. The program works like this-- You will be doing online book work with clinicals 2-4 days/week (not sure on this) at various clinical sites such as VA, etc. Let me know when you applied and to what homeschool and we can talk further..

I completed my CNA earlier this month. I've applied to Roane State, waiting for their acceptance letter to come in early May. I meet and exceed all of the eligibility requirements for RODP so I'm not worried about that.

I can't commit to a traditional nursing program until my son starts kindergarten so this is my way to get my degree sooner. I considered LMU but that's just too expensive for me.

Have you heard anything since applying? Any notifications via email? I also know that they accept anywhere from 30-40 people through the TSU homeschool. I believe the deadline to apply to TSU is April 15th and hopefully after that point, they will be contacting candidates either way. Also wondering if you have actually applied to Roane State or heard anything from them concerning RODP?

I am in the Knoxville area, right now. I'll be moving to Chattanooga and commuting for clinicals.

I had to update my application with RODP earlier this month.

I applied to Roane State, the deadline for them was back in January. Then the candidates took the HESI in February. They will contact us the first week of May to let us know one way or another. As far as RODP, I haven't heard anything else from them at all since I applied and then updated my application. She did say that it all looked good for me. I haven't had any correspondence with RSCC regarding RODP.

The only things I've heard about LMU are what I've read on this forum.

Hi, I know I am late posting to this thread; however, I am new to the site. I applied to the AASN RODP program for Fall 09 as well and have not officially heard from them to date. I did talk to a representative from TSU, though, that told me they would not take any students for the program for Fall as they did not have enough instructors to teach the program. She said "maybe in Spring." I was accepted to MSCC and plan to attend there; TSU is the pits to deal with. I have tried to get in this program since the inception and was approved by RODP but TSU lost all my paperwork and denied me without any recourse!

GOOD LUCK TO THOSE OF YOU WHO DECIDE TO CONTINUE WITH THEIR PROGRAM!!

I thought I'd bumped this up to see if anyone is doing this program right now.

I THOUGHT I was accepted into Roane State (well I was accepted but not RODP) for this fall but they chose not to do it. I've now applied for Chatt State's to begin in Jan but they are being less than helpful, I don't think the schools are excited about this alternative. It is not very high on their priority list, it seems. So I'm just wondering if anyone is having any success.

I've also applied to Chatt State's LPN class beginning in January. I am going to take it if I get accepted. I was a week late getting my application turned in so I have to wait to see if anyone that got in before the deadline decides not to attend.
