Saint Francis (Memphis)

Does anyone have any information on this hospital? I spoke with a recruiter at a job fair today (limited time with her, all I got was an information packet, I didn't get to ask many questions), and I was wondering about this hospital. Any positives or negatives heard would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I really haven't heard bad things about St. Francis, I did clinicals there and thought that it was old-appearing but seemed nice. I work at Baptist. My husband just did a rotation in their ER and liked it. I know people who have been in their ICU and liked it too.

I did a clinical rotation at St. Francis this past spring and all of the nurses there were VERY nice. I was impressed with their willingness to teach and allow you to learn. I would highly recommend this hospital. I'm also in the process of applying for a Nurse Intern position here.

Does anyone know if St. Francis has self scheduling for their RNs? Just a thought...

A little late posting, so you may have your answer but last I knew, they didn't. As far as I know the hospital is a little old yet still very viable. It has changed hands a couple of times and now has an auxilliary hospital very new in a different part of town. Good luck!

I moved and don't work there anymore, but when I did up until this past summer yes they had self scheduling. Like all the hospitals in Memphis they stay pretty short handed so they fill in with a lot of agency. Therefore staff can usually work pretty much the hours they want.

Does anyone know the starting pay for new grads, as well as the shift diff? Also, does anyone know how the shift diff is stacked? I heard that 11-7 is stacked ON TOP of the 3-11 shift diff. This doesn't seem right, but I haven't been able to talk with a recruiter yet. Thanks!
