Nursing in Tennessee???

by Nads 75

Hi, I am an English mental health nurse (RMN) and I desperately want to live and work in Memphis.
Unfortunately my qualification is not recognised in the US as you guys are RN trained. I now find myself looking at the possibility of having to retrain in the US. I wonder if someone could let me know what is the procedure in Tennessee can you train at nursing school as an RN od do you have to do a BSN and how long does it take?
Please help

You can go to LPN school. It is around a 1yr. Then there is ADN RN which is around 2 yrs. Or, the BSN route which is around 4-5 yrs depending on the school you go to.

I am don't know anything about your education but you may be able to do a bridge/step program to receive a BSN in about 2years.

Hope this helps.
