Northeast State/ Walters state nursing program?

by Emily20

Just wanting to talk with anyone who has graduated from the Northeast state, Walters state Nursing program. From what I understand, the general courses would have to be completed at Northeast and then I would have to transfer to Walters State. I wanted to know how difficult it is to get into the nursing program, and if most of the nursing classes are at Northeast or Walters state. I'm in Johnson City and as far as I know this would be the closet place to get my Associates Degree in Nursing. I have heard mixed reviews about the four year nursing program at ETSU but I haven't personally talked to anyone who graduated from the Northeast/Walters state partnership.

I started classes at Northeast State and wanted to transfer to Walters State. What happens is you finish with your pre-requirements and then you put in an application at the Walter State campus. They choose 15-20 people. These people are the ones that are allowed to go the Gray campus. The rest of the people go to Walter State. They choose the ones for Gray by their GPA. Hope this helps
