Knoxville area

Hi there! I can't say much about Children's Hospital because I have never worked there, but it is the ideal place to be if you only want to do pediatrics.

Have you looked into applying at Covenant Health? They have 5-6 hospitals in the Knoxville area. Go to www.covenanthealth.com. (They don't do pediatrics though...)

Knoxville is a super area, with lots to do and a fairly low cost of living.

I don't know anything about Knoxville hospitals as far as employment but did want to wish you all the best in your job search. I lived in Knoxville for quite a while and am just starting nursing school. There are several hospitals in the area though. St. Mary's, Park West (part of covenant health), Blount memorial, UT medical center. With such a large town I doubt you will have any trouble finding a good job

I've seen several of your posts about looking for a NICU job as a new grad.
I also saw were someone mentioned Roanoke, VA. I happen to work in that NICU and was hired in as a new grad. New grads are able come in at any time of the year. In fact we hire about 15 new grads per year. We are a level III, 60 bed - mixed acuity unit.
