Hospitals in Memphis Area

I am new to the forum so I would first like to say hello. I am a RN in New Orleans, trying to relocate to the Memphis area. I have done some research, only to find that the pay in the Memphis area is not comparable. Although the cost of living is less there, I have car note and student loans. The starting pay for RNs' here is $19.50/hr w/$3, $4, and $5-6 diff for evening, night and weekends. Would anyone like to share the starting pay there? Also, is anyone currently participating in and "loan assistance" program offered by any of the local hospitals? Is there any hospital other that Baptist and Methodist that offer loan payback for new grads? What is the ratio of patients-to-nurse at the different hospitals? Do you have "team leaders" that help when you're running behind? I would love to hear everyone's experiences, horror stories and any words of wisdom that you may have. Thanks!
