Covenant Health "nurses night out" in Knoxville

by LPMRN

Did anyone else go to the Covenant Health Nurse night out at Flemmings Steakhouse this week? I was a little disappointed. The accomodations were too small, it was "standing room only". I was expecting to have a good time and apply for a few jobs. I spoke to one recruiter, handed her my resume and left. Just curious as to what anyone else thought about it.

Wow! I attended and I thought it was great! I got to speak with a recruiter (Susan) and a couple of the managers. I've got an interview set up already and my application has been sent out to a couple of other managers! Yes, it was a little bit crowded that night, but I didn't think that was a big deal. I think they had a bigger turn-out than they were expecting. The food was great!

Have you been in contact with any of the recruiters? Have you applied for any positions?

Annie,
Yes I was contacted by a recruiter. Unfortunately I do not have the experience required for the position I was interested in.
I was at the recruiting event Covenant Health had last year and it was bigger. Each Covenant Health hospital had a booth and a recruiter to talk with. They had a "Tropical" theme with a steel drum band and fake money to use for gambling or buying gift items. I guess I was expecting the same type event.
Good luck, hope you get the job you applied for.
