Ooltewah here.
Originally from Cleveland, been living in Hooterville nearly 12 years.
Worked at Bradley ER for 19 years, until they went private and SkyRidge bought them.
Worked prn at Erlanger ER and on the floors most of that time also.
Been working as an MDS/Care Plan Nurse for the last couple years.
Done my time in the trenches over 20 years, nice to sit behind a computer 4 days a week, and sit in Care Plans with families on Wednesdays.

Wife works at Erlanger, runs the Pulmonary lab and Childrens Respiratory/Pulmonary Dept's.
Younger than me, still has some ambition.
Poor girl.

Hi all! I just joined and was wondering if anyone knew of any decent LPN positions in the Chattanooga area? I have applied to all that I've found online (that's how I found this site), but if anyone knows of any others, that would be great! I have worked in ENT, Oncology, and Plastic Surgery...Always in a physicians office (where they don't want to pay you anything) and I am ready for a change and no more female Dr's to work for! Thanks!

Hello neighbors. Currently a Chattanoogan. Live on Missionary Ridge. Loose ends approaching and reconsidering the biz after a 14 year lapse. Did 14 years in ICU's, ER's in Atlanta and aroung N. GA. Last gig at Emory in SICU working with post-op liver transplants early to mid 90's. Expect I will need to do a refresher. Am open to suggestions and advice.

Nurse Re: Chattanooga area
I'm new to Chattanooga, came from the Cleveland Ohio area this June! I am looking forward to a much milder winter!!! I have recently started at Memorial North Park and I am impressed with the hospital and the nurses I have encountered there, it is refreshing to have a lighter patient load (was not uncommon to have 8 or 9 pts on nights up north). I am a med surg nurse of five years, graduated in 2004 from KSUA (Kent State)

I am LOVING Chatt....what a pretty city this is, I am in awe every time I look up at Signal Mountain...ok I know its not the Alps...there are bigger mountains, but wow is it pretty!! I'm glad we made the move! I call Red Bank home now.

Thanks from one warm

Welcome to Chattanooga! This is a beautiful area. Don't count on a mild winter, maybe a shorter one though! It can get pretty cold here but fortunately doesn't last long. We clean out the supermarkets at the first hint of snow.

tina_72us, let me second Mahage's welcome! I've been in the area for 10 years & love the view of Signal Mountain from my house & the view of Lookout, Raccoon & Elder Mountains on my short commute in to work every morning!

I wish I could say the same. I missed the deadline by a week so I'm waiting to see if anyone turns it down.

I don't know anything about the program except what is on the website.

Good luck, hopefully we will be in class together!!!
