The bone from the shoulder to the elbow is the humerus . Then the 2 bones in the lower forearm is the ulna and radius.

The part you feel as your elbow is your olecranon process which is part of your ulnar. The olecranon process fits into the Olecranon fossa which is part of your humerous.

I am so sorry for your problems. I think the best bet for your answers lie with your child's doctors and/or lawyers. We can't provide medical or legal advice. Please take care.
