Hi! is anyone trying to get into this class on here? Also anyone that has done this class, can you tell me how hard it is to get the scholarship? And do you know what test they use for the entrance exam?

Thanks

Hi,
I am a current student in the BMH LPN program. They are testing prospective students this week and next week for the October class. They use the CAT (California achievement test) for admission. Last I heard, the hospital was not offering any scholarships for this upcoming class so you have to pay the tuition yourself. Good luck.

Thank you for the reply, sorry it took me so long to write back my computer crashed and haven't been able to post. I did take the CAT test a couple of weeks ago and got a 197 which I am happy with since I didn't get to finish one of the math sections. I have an interview this week, I heard that the math quiz is mostly fractions is there anything else I should study up on? Also can you tell me what kind of questions to expect?

Thanks again!

They are having students pay for tuition themselves cause they can no longer open up LPN jobs to work them at low salary when they graduate and pass their boards.... Infact there is exactly 1 LPN opening and it's for an experienced LPN with urine drug screen certification...

GOODLUCK!!!! If you are having problems with tuition you should maybe check out TN Tech Center of Knoxville, some of their teachers really suck, but if you can read a book and can critical think then you should do fine. As well as they are state funded and there's many funds and grants you can get through them and through the county you live in, such as tuition, book, gas, and uniform reimbursment.
