Anyone willing to give me the skinny on nashville?

Will graduate LPN school in Aug 09, Plan on working here for 1 year, then moving to Nashville area to complete my RN degree.

1. What are the job options for LPNs, LTC, and or Hosp, (Do hospitals even hire LPNs in this area? Here in Indiana they don't.

2. What are the shift options 5-8s 3-12s etc.

3. What are the average payscales? Can one make a reasonable living, or is it a constant struggle?

4. Does it take days, weeks or Months to get hired?

5. Anyone have info on the VA Hospital there or in Murfreesboro? Good place to work or avoid it?

6. How long does it take to get license transferred?

7. Anyone reccomend a good LTC in the Hendersonville area?? Or actually any area...
