I am a new manager for a hospital based call center with 7 RN's doing nursing triage for the general public. We are supported by hospital marketing and our system has 14 hospitals. We have not been involved with JCAHO. However, I think this may be coming as we are expanding our call center and will be taking on ER extend services as well as disease management and pre-registration.
