Who's taken the teas v?

Nursing Students TEAS

And what did you think? I took it last week and feel like I was prepared for the Math and Reading portions by using the study guide but I really struggled with the Science portion. For me it was a lot of Chemistry and it's been a while since I've taken that course. I met the minimum requirements in each category for my program but it's the first year they're using the TEAS V (Last year they used the NET) so I'm not really sure what a competitive score is yet. Anyway I know there are different entrance tests and versions of the TEAS everyone is taking so I was just wondering how people felt about version V.

Hey Lisa do you remember anything on the test [email protected], I am taking my first test this coming Tuesday

any tips would help!!

Thanx

I was just wondering if I should purchase the TEAS studyguide? I have the PAX review book and was hoping I could just use it. Any suggestions on whether you think the two are similar will be greatly appreciated.

While I don't know anything about the PAX review book, I do have experience with the official TEAS Study Guide that I purchased from Barnes and Noble for about $30. I studied the guide an hour or so a day for two weeks and got a 99th percentile score on the exam due to the study guide and two paper practice tests included in the book. There was not a single question on the TEAS that I didn't feel the guide prepared me for. You can probably find a cheaper version of the guide on ebay if you really need to cut costs and are not in an extreme hurry. Good luck!

Thanks! I think i'm going to go purchase the study guide.

I am taking the TEAS V on Monday, October 24th. I only need to score a 60% or better on the Math portion, if I don't, I can take the Math portion one time a week [have to pay the full amount of the test only to retest in Math] up until I believe December. I do have to take the other 3 sections, but the scores don't matter as I am already accepted into the RN program at my school. So therefore, I am studying my buns off for the Math!

Just wondering, if the Math on the test is similar to that in the ATI prep book? I sure hope so!

My experience was that the math was exactly the same, they'd just changed the numbers. I got 100% on the math and I owe it entirely to the ATI study guide.

Where can I buy the ATI study guide? And what is the name of the study guide? There are a lot of different ones out there. Thanks. Good luck to everyone!!

Hello, I took the TEASV in Aug 2011.

I did very well (top 1%) and this was due to studying for about 2 months, and taking the example tests offered online at ATI.

This kind of test is knowledge based, not only in what you have learned in HS and Uni but also in preparing yourself for the test.

The ATI manual is not enough to prepare you to make a 90 or above. You will have to do some other studying as well.

I downloaded a couple of HESI exams using amazon kindle, I searched for several types of questions (esp Math and grammar) online and the best resource out there is this:

MyLearningExpress.com /Learning Express Library.

http://www.learnatest.com/LEL/index.cfm/help

Learning Express is a free resource set up via your local or Uni library. It has several types of tests online --> Nursing Exams, AP BIO, CLEP, SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT.

I used several of these tests to practice from aside from the ones provided by ATI. Thus, on the day I took it I knew what kind of questions could be asked.

texas girl..im taking my test in 3 weeks..im worried about chemistry and earth science...help!!!

Can anyone pls help me out who has taken the teas v lately? i test this saturday and am far behind, was wondering if u could tell me anything u remember from the test pls? [email protected] thanks!

Thank god I am not the only one contemplating whether I should re-take the TEAS V. I took the test yestersday and just got an 81% overall score. The score meets the schools minimum required score, but I am wondering whether I am better off re-taking it and hopefully scoring in the 90%. I would love to get anyones opinion...

Michelle1985...do you mind sharing your experience with the science section..that's what I'm worried about
