Hello all,

Im just getting into my prerequisites for my nursing career and I would LOVE to start studying early for the TEAS test, what do I need to expect? Are theyre any tips, site suggestions, teas study packets I can find online?

Anything helps!

Thank you:)

Hi there,

it's great that you want to do early preparations. I would suggest you to think about buying the ATI study manual that's the main book to study from. You could also buy the two online assessment from ati for more practice and to get a feel of the test structure. you could visit testprepreview.com for some self quizzing. Take a look at this person's post for the teas test https://allnurses.com/teas-exam-help/how-i-passed-804222.html :)

Since you're just starting out, try to do good in your prereq courses the first time around. Study hard and daily. Also try to read your books ahead of time. if you don't have a voice recorder I think you should get a good one as it will help you take better detailed notes.

Good luck

thank you so much!

I appreciate your tips and thoughts of what I should and WILL do.. I hope I can get in the first time around! :-) :-)

hopefully you can register and get into your needed classes. In my area it was like a competition trying to get into human anatomy, human physiology and microbiology since lots of people needed it. I had to take micro at a different school about 40 mins away from home.

The best way to study for the TEAS is to actually buy the booklet. The first time I took the teas, I didn't use the actual booklet, just resources I found online. After not being satisfied with my score I went and bought the booklet and saw significant improvment in my score. Hope this helps!

Thank you, this really does help and I appreciate you taking the time to tell me that. What's the booklet called and how long did you study for?
