Teas V & Chemistry

Nursing Students TEAS

Preparing to take my Teas exam next Tuesday & I was wondering if any of you all seen a lot of balancing chemical equations when you took your test. I'm reviewing my chemistry now & it's been 2 yrs since I took the class & I am not so great at those type of problems....

Yup. I distinctly recall a couple of problems that involved selecting the correctly balanced equation.

Ok thanks for replying!

Yes!!!

Good luck!

I had only 1 balancing question on my test. I would highly recommend, going over any Anatomy,Chemistry and Biology books you may have. IMO the study guide doesn't do the section justice on the real test, the questions are very broad in comparison, not just generalized. Somehow I managed to do very well in the section though. Good Luck

I had a couple, but not a lot of chemistry questions. I had mostly life science- plant science, punnetts square, dna/rna, and meiosis and mitosis. But the chemistry snuck up on me and bit me in the butt on my first test... scored a 46% in the physical and life science section. The second time I scored 100% ! YAY!

Same here, lots of those type questions, my worst section was earth and physical science, I scored 90% or better on the other science sections. Only 65% on the earth stuff. I didn't study much at all for the reading and language usage, since i did well on the practice test, but English usage ended up being my worst section only getting 60%. I wish i had brushed up more now,, too late now I have to put my application in for my program tuesday, but my program is gpa based and i have a 3.8 , teas only counts if your in the least accepted gpa to determine seats. So im hoping 3.8 is good enough. :)

The English ended up being lower the second time I took my test! Haha. You would think that since I have been speaking the language since I was 2 years old, I would know it correctly!! :D
