Studying for Science Section of TEAS

Hi I am taking the TEAS version 4 in a few weeks. I'm very nervous about the science section. Does anyone know of good things to study besides the manual? I also have the flashcards! What areas of science should I study?

I took the TEAS about a year ago and I didn't use a manual or study guide or anything, but I just wanted to recommend that you study ALL the sciences - including the ones that seem unlikely to be on the test. I was surprised with how many geology questions I was asked - like about types of rocks and tectonic plates. Not sure what geology has to do with nursing, but you might as well be prepared! :clown:

Thanks!! So you just knew all that science stuff? I don't remember anything from science other than A&P, Micro, Chem...but not geology!! Is there a website or anything anyone recommends?!

Oh and also..I have the Version 5 study guide because that was all that was in stock where I was looking. I didn't really want to wait because I want to study as much as possible. Is that okay to study even though I'm taking Version 4?? :)

I pretty much had to guess at the geology questions, or try real hard to remember learning that stuff in 5th or 6th grade. But they only made up a small portion, I still ranked in the 94 percentile. I don't have any specific web-sites to recommend, but just stick to your TEAS study guides, and you'll be fine. There's no way to predict what you'll be asked on your test - it'll be random. And in that sentiment, I don't think it matters what version of the study guide you buy either.

It's all about brushing up on your general education, and also be sure to practice doing some math problem examples. Good luck! :clown:

Hey Im taking the TEAS test as well this friday. I have been told to just study the manual. It sucks because this year will be the last year that some schools will be using version 4. Next year they switch to version 5. Anyway ya just study study study! Let me know how you do ok!

u need to call your school and find out what version your taken, they are changing the version of the test, and from what i was told they said if u take version 4 u will have to retake the test and do version 5.

Really?? When I registered to take the test at my school it didn't give me a choice of version 4 or 5. It just registered for version 4. My school says to take version 4 or higher. I'll have to ask. Thanks.

your welcome. i took version 4 last year but i guess this year its different, from what i have read version 5 is a whole lot harder than 4. i also have the version 5 book and it is way more better than the 4v book, it goes in more detail and breaks the info down more. good luck with what ever version u are taken.

What did you think about version 4? Do you think if I study the version 5 book I'll do good on 4? Is the science part hard???
