I took the TEAS v today for the second time and have one more try! I did good on everything and for some reason not so well on the English and Language usage part of the test :uhoh3: There are 30 questions in the section and for my school you need a 54.0 and I scored 46.6 the first time and 40.0 today, I really need help!!! Please Somebody!!?? Anybody??!!:crying2:

I did well on everything EXCEPT the English and Language portion too, but luckily I passed it. When you took the TEAS, did you not get a printout of what you may want to go back and review? I remember mine having a page of items that are recommended for further studying on those that I missed. I had problems identifying sentence structure, and you may want to purchase the TEAS prep material from atitesting.com if you haven't already. That's going to be your best bet for being prepared.

I remember in high school I had all sorts of problems with passing English and Literature. Now in college I got A's in both. Besides the actual test prep, the best way to improve English scores is to do lots of reading OUT LOUD to yourself. You brain would automatically begin to see the sentence patterns and you'll just know what sounds right and it will become easier. Also do lots of writing. Go find a good book not a computer, computer screen will only make you zone out and get tired find a will written book by any author of something that interests you, write an essay each week or a story about your day, read it back loud to yourself it see if it makes sence, get other to read it back to you, see if they think it make sence, look up meanings of words in a dictionary and write them down. that is what helped me with English in general...I still have to take the TEAS. Good luck next time.
