If you are taking the test soon the best advice I can offer you is STUDY, STUDY, STUDY!!! After weeks of studying for the TEAS, I passed with an 80. I used the McGraw-Hill's Nursing School Entrance Exams to study for the test. Although it may seem extreme, I studied between 4-5 hours daily for about 3 weeks. The official study book is the ATI TEAS Review Manual but I did not want to pay $25 for it. Use your time wisely, study faithfully, and do all of the practice exams. (I ran out of time on the math portion so it is wise to time yourself on the practice exams.)

Congrats. I have 7 weeks before my TEAS and I am freaking out about all the info I have to do. Did you study each section at a time (ie reading, math, science) or did you study through each test?

Yes, I studied each section one at a time. If not, my brain would have been in overload. Good Luck on your exam!

There were a few graphs on there and a lot of algebra word problems. Alot of 'solve for X' problems and decimals, fractions and percentage problems.

I used the ATI study guide and went over each section. The chemistry was a bit tricky for me since I hadn't balanced an equation since high school back in the 70's. Basic algebra, though, that isn't too bad. The ATI book gives you two written practice tests you can take at home by timing yourself, and then there are two timed online practice tests, too. It was worth the $50 for the book since I only took that test once and passed with an 80%.

To me, it was worth it to take all the tests provided with the book. I scored a bit better with each test and got the highest score on the ACTUAL test, where it counted.

You are probably stronger in certain subjects, so I would spend my time on the ones you aren't as strong in. It's a test of essential academic skills, so it isn't about nursing. I bombed the Math since Math isn't my strong point AT ALL, but I aced the English/Reading so I still scored in the 99th percentile by some miracle. I wish I had spent more time studying the science and math though.

Is the test on computer or pencil and paper? If you have a choice which one will be better?

For the teas exam do you find out your result right away or do you have to wait?
