    Please don't feel stupid.

I have a friend who is a genius. He actually lives off of (generous!) royalties for his inventions; he has millions in the bank and investments, thanks to his brilliance as a technological innovator. He can't score well on a standardized test to save his life. He took the GRE a few years ago, and he was only 42% complete when time ran out.

Also, I am a former teacher, and I can tell you that there is a subset of students whose abilities will never be measured accurately on a test for numerous reasons (i.e. they think "too" deeply about questions, as they would apply in real life - or they have major test anxiety, or any one of a number of reasons).

Beyond that, if it has been awhile since you've been in school, a test like the TEAS is GOING to be a major experience for you.

Take it again - or find another path.

But DON'T let this make you feel inadequate.

How much did you study before the test? Have you taken any of the science classes that were subjects on the test?

Thank you. Your response made me feel a little bit better. I've never tested well. I'd do well in class, but once I had a written test I'd score really low in some subjects. I didn't do too bad on English and Reading. But, I only got a 33 in the math. I got a 48 as my average and needed a 58 to get in. I can retake the test in 30 days, so I might try again. I really had my heart set on getting into this program. The school offers refresher courses for the test so maybe I should take the math class. I graduated HS in 2005, so I think I forgot a lot of information.

I got through the entire study guide except for some of the math. My problem is definitely math. I took biology in HS, but they taught some chemistry in the class. I took 10th grade biology in 8th grade, and 12th grade biology in 10th grade. Because of that, they didn't require me to take chemistry or physics when I transferred to public schools junior year. It could also be the fact that I graduated 8 years ago.

Take advantage of the re-fresher classes! I bet once you do, more will come back and you will pass. Plus it shows the people that choose the accepted people how much you are willing to work for it.

Thank you. I think I will sign up for the math refresher since that's where I screwed up.

Whatever you do don't give up. I took this test four times since 2009 and in 2012 I passed it. I then failed out of the program I got into. And this year just last week tested again for a different program and passed the test again because I didn't give up. If you want this go for it just study a little more. You can do this FAITH is all you need. Good luck you

Keep studying! I wasn't happy with my first score either. Bought more books and got a much better score ^__^ No worries and keep trying!
