How do I get back in the study groove?

I am set to take the TEAS on 12/13, but I just don't feel like studying any more. It's not that I over studied, I just became depressed. Here's some (might be long winded, I'll try to keep it short) story.

Ok, I left my job at a teen drug rehab in June because I couldn't handle all the crap any more & my boyfriend (at the time left). He had plans to go into the oil field & that didn't pan out. Well I moved with him & tried to get back into pedi PDN, it took awhile because we constantly moved between his parents & my mom's house.

Finally I settled & I got 2 jobs but they didn't last long (it ended this month & they just didn't have any more cases for me). I have been filling out applications & going on interviews that are leading me nowhere.

I started studying but I slowed down & stopped because I just got so depressed because I'm thinking, what's the point? If I can't get a job after 3 almost 4 years as an LVN, how am I gonna get a new job as a new grad RN-ADN??? I have the official ATI study guide & The Benchmark app on my phone but I haven't use either in awhile. :(

Any suggestions?

Girl you and me both I'm scheduled to take my TEAS test on 12/20 and I can't seem to get motivated to study. I have kids at home still and one in school and we keep getting sick. Not to mention this week no one got sick but my brother who's living with me got into a car accident. I took this semester off because I moved from another state in January so technically I will be an out of state student and paying double which I can't afford, I only took 2 summer classes this year. I'm just having trouble getting the ball rolling.

Me and you both girl. I'm trying to do a study schedule and do a little at a time. I also watch a lot of YouTube videos. Set a specific time during the day that dedicated to studying. For me this is between 7:30am-9am, I'm not consistent as I want to be because I have so much going on right now and I'm not in school this semester, It can be depressing just hang in there. I also have a YouTube channel search in the box Futurerngirl channel. Soon I will download a TEAS series on how to study each section and that's how I TRY to stay motivated. But it's difficult at times and depressing like you said but think of the end result.

Well I was looking into online LVN-RN programs but I have come to the the conclusion that there might not be one that works for me.

EC - The weekend long CPNE freaks me out, I would prefer clinicals.

ISU - It looks like they promote or are in cahoots with TCN.

WGU - I am not within 50 miles of a clinical location.

There is also Lamar State but all start dates have been put on hold. If they had start dates I would inquire, I know someone who is enrolled currently.

Allegeny College but I don't know anyone who has used them.

So I just need to get back in the swing of studying, cross my fingers & hope I get accepted into the community college here. Easier said than done.

Sorry I wrote twice, I didn't think the first post went through. I hope you do get accepted. Good luck.

Thank you. I'm leaning more towards Lamar State, but I'd be happy if I got accepted to either one.
