This is my first post, i figure with all the help this forum has given i should give back!
I always scored high 90's on the English practice tests so just a heads up its more difficult on the real thing.
Check out the free TEAS app on google play store if you have an android, there were practice questions directly off of the science section that i COULDNT find in the book : )
Other than that thanks again everyone for all the posts, they really helped take the edge off the TEAS V!

I borrowed the ATI Study Guide from the campus library, and bought the McGraw-Hill "5 Practice TEAS Exams". The more practice you get, the better prepared you will be. Practice, practice, practice...

I'm going absolutely insane waiting for my score! I didn't get it immediately after the test like some of you said you did. The paper they gave me says that it will be posted after 48 hours. Did any of yours actually take that long to be posted? I took my test at a PSI Testing Center, if that makes a difference.

OMG thank you! I never thought to check my app store! I just found an app with hundreds of practice questions on my iPhone's app store for $9.99 for anyone with an iPhone/iPod/iPad

Thanks again for suggesting that !!! I'm just now downloading it but will post again after I've used it on how good the app is if anyone wants to know. : )

Now, can someone tell me what it means? Our school administered this test with a few days notice. Since they have never administered the TEAS and don't require it for program entry, I didn't think they would administer it with no explanation (especially not during class, right after HESI and during finals). So, thinking that it would probably be a practice test, I didn't study at all. I know I need to take it for most BSN programs and wonder if I should take it again.

I wish someone break it down for me. What is a competitive score.

I take it that you are already in your nursing program? or were you talking about prereq's?

Anyways, 87 is very competitive for the ADN program. Most scores that I've seen for BSN have been low 90's so not that far off.

If you are in the ADN program I would wait. By the time you're done with your program the version could change, they may want recent scores, or what not. Also if you get your ADN and then apply for a bridge program you may not need the score at all.

If you are applying for a BSN program I would study for a while and retake it. Just be aware that you may only have 2 or 3 chances to take in a 2 year period.

My program was listed wrong. I'm in the BSN, so I think my actual program percentile is 98%, but I'm happy with my scores overall.
