Nursing Students TEAS

Published

Since ATI provides no student assistance to interpret scores, let's help each other! If enough of us enter our complete TEAS scores, we'll be able to compare notes to see how we rank in different programs, what to aim for if your school requires a Program percentile rank rather than a series of scores, etc. There is another thread where people are sharing their scores, but it looks like most people are just sharing their Adjusted Individual Total Score or whatever applies to their particular school. By sharing all the info, we can help each other better.

Please copy the scores below and then change them to your own, in your post! thanks! Please make sure to check your Program Type! It's right under the name of the school where you took it, on your score sheet.

This was my first try taking it. I used the ATI study booklet & 2 online tests, the McGraw-Hill 5-test book, and Quizlet to study my trouble areas. I found the ATI online tests to be hardest by far. I got an 80% on each of those, and averaged between 85-90% on the 7 written ones I took. All the prep definitely paid off though.

First attempt!

I'm so happy with my score being that I felt I was just bombing the science part!!! I also had no idea my area of most improvement would be English!! Sheesh!

What study materials do you all think worked the best for preparing you for the exam? For those who used the pocket prep teas app, were the questions similar in terms of hardness in comparison to the exam?

I wish I could have scored higher. Does anyone know if this is good enough to get me into City Tech Nursing.

took it today for first time. i did the practice exams in the mcgraw hill TEAS book last night and looked over some biology stuff and that was it. i kinda didn't prioritize studying for this thing and thank God for His grace because it could have ended ugly lol.

overall 92.7%

reading 100

math 93.3

science 83.3

language 100%

science was def my worst cuz of the bio. please make sure you know rna, dna, transcription/translation, codon chart (had nooo idea what that was lol), mitosis/meiosis, cells, food chain, photosynthesis. i underestimated how many of those would be on the dag nabbit exam lol. but the percentile for 83.3 is 96% so i'm not too upset.

i'd say just do as many practice problems as possible, regardless of the manual. the McGraw Hill, even though it was versions 3 and 4 with some 5 lol, was still good! only thing was that the teas v reading seems to be longer and has more a/p and bio questions.

I took my exam yesterday! It was my third try, I passed the other 2 times but needed a higher score, as my program is very competitive.

My advice is to take the official TEAS test BLIND, but do so in advance of your "official" school test. I paid another local univeristy (not my school) a sitting fee of $40 to take the official teas. It is worth the extra money. I highly recommend doing this because this will allow you to see what the actual test is like. This will also allow you to see what areas you need to study the most. After you take your practice test, the 3rd page of the print out will tell you exactly what pages and areas you missed, that way you are able to review the exact areas. Seriously, for me, nothing prepared me like taking the actual TEAS test.

Good luck and happy studying!

I HIGHLY recommend taking the offical TEAS test at another university, if you have that option. Nothing prepared me the way that taking the test did. When you are done, the printout contains the page numbers and topics that you need to study from the ATI study guide.

I just took my TEAS today. I've been a lurker for quite a long time, but I'm so happy with my test that I feel compelled to post, since this board seems to be the one one's that know what the TEAS even if (my friends have no idea what i'm talking about).

I'm hoping these scores will be good enough. The schools I'm applying to only look at Teas, Chem, Bio, and Algebra grades as well as two professional references. Kind of disappointed in my English score, the spelling and punctuation killed this score for me.

Just took it today.
