Does everyone have to take the TEAS or HESI exam?

I will begin nursing school in January 2014 and have seen many posts about the TEAS and HESI exams. At what point in my nursing career will these tests rear their ugly heads?

Definitely depends on your school. Mine requires the TEAS be taken and passed before entrance to the program.

Most schools that use the TEAS exam do so for entrance purposes, which my school did. I have heard of a HESI entrance and exit exam but my school did not use those.

I need to take the TEAS before August. HESI was easy, but I heard TEAS are harder!

Thanks for the responses. The school I will be going to has not mentioned these exams; maybe it comes further down the line or something.

I have to take the TEAS V for Adelphi University Garden City.
