Books you used to study for TEAS/HESI

Hi guys! I'm just wondering what are the books that you used to study for your TEAS/HESI. Would you give me some book recommendations that have helped you passed the test? Also, one more question, if the school you're applying to have different entrance exams (some required HESI, and some are TEAS), do you have to take both of them or will they consider/accept which ever one you have?

I used only the TEAS V test prep book from ATI. If you can only get one book, get that one. Everything on the test is in that book, although you might want to expand on some of the science topics with other sources like Kahn academy. I studied the entire thing in one weekend (do not recommend, put at least 2 weeks aside to study at a normal pace) and passed with an 85.3. People also swear by the practice tests they offer online, but I didn't use them.

As for TEAS vs. HESI, I know that my school would not accept HESI scores. They're completely different exams. If the schools you're applying to have different requirements, you will likely have to take both.

I used the ATI book and took one of the online practice tests. The ATI book covers everything that will be on the TEAS V. However, you need to study the science topics more in depth. I also used the following thread and found it very helpful:

I have the ATI book and the McGraw Hill practice tests. I found I need to brush up on my chemistry so that is what I am doing.

I used the ATI book, McGraw-Hill practice tests ad a study guide. Check your college library for study books. I spent 2 months working through the ATI book. I had also just finished chem, bio and math prep. I got a 95 on my TEAS.

Congratulations on scoring very high on your TEAS! :up: I have the ATI book but not the McGraw-Hill. I heard a lot of people use this with the TEAS book. Did you purchase it? If so, where can I purchase one? Thanks!! :)

I found out the answer to my question and you're right about it too! But thankfully the colleges I'm trying to apply to all require TEAS. :) Congratulations on getting that score on your TEAS! I will need more than a weekend to study because I'm kind of a slow learner. :writing: I have the ATI but I may need to buy other practice books too. I need a lot of practice especially with the math problems. ;( but thank you!

I also used the ATI TEAS V book. That was the only thing I used, and I scored a 96.

I bought both the ATI Teas book and the McGraw Hill book. I really preffered the McGraw as it was quite close to the TEAS exam. It gave you an actual idea of what would be on the TEAS unlike the ATI book.

I got the McGraw book out of the college library and found another in my town library but I don't use that one at all.

What is the McGraw Hill Book you guys are referring to? Can anyone post a link to the exact book mentioned or give more detail?
