Took the TEAS V. I got a 78. I thought oh, no. That's awful. I hadn't studied a lick, so it's better than I'd expected...for not knowing what to expect. When I told the admissions office I got a 78, they're jaws nearly... Read More

My overall score was a 92.7. I used the ATI TEAS V study guide and practice tests to prepare, which I think helped quite a bit.

When the ATI scores come out, when it says "Program average" or "Program percentile" is that for YOUR SCHOOL you are applying at? So when it said I was in the 99th percentile at the Program, it meant I was really good compared to other scores at my school? For what the past year? I know the "National average" is for the entire nation.
I am just curious as to if my 80.7% (99th percentile program average) is good for my program...
If anyone had this explained to them, if you could explain it to me. I just want to make sure I understand it correctly.

CallieNM, the "progam", I believe, is for the type of program nation wide that you are applying for: i.e.: LPN, ADN, BSN. Not for your particular school. Hope this helps!

    Good luck to you!

    Hi guys,

Are you allowed to use a calculator on the TEAS exam? I know you are not allowed to bring one with you, but are you allowed to use the computer calculator?

No calculator use, but it is basic stuff: long division, multiplication, fractions, decimals, %, conversions (know ur metric to metric conversions; they will give u conversion factors if u r converting from metric to std or std to metric).

    Good luck!

I just took TEAS V and got a 94.7%. Pretty excited about the result. You should have seen the employees at the testing center...

I just took my TEAS yesterday. When I finished, the proctor's assistant came up to me and said, "You got an overall of 86%!" She acted as if it was a big deal. I said "That's great" and I was thinking, a B, great. Well when I looked up the results, nationally that's in the 97th percentile. First I took the practice exam in the study manual, then I read the study manual and took the 2 practice exams offered online. And I did horribly on those exams but it gave me some focus. I also read the study suggestions posted here by rainbowvahmet Thanks!
