Average TEAS V Score? Your score? - page 5

Took the TEAS V. I got a 78. I thought oh, no. That's awful. I hadn't studied a lick, so it's better than I'd expected...for not knowing what to expect. When I told the admissions office I... Read More

For the school I'm applying to, it says the average score to receive an interview is 80-84. I studied for 2 weeks on and off, and one week everyday for a few hours. Overall I got 88%. I felt reading and math were very straight forward, but thought for sure science and english killed me. I did better then I was expecting while taking the test. I used the ATI study guide and online practice tests and some youtube videos to help with math.

I'm not too dissatisfied with this since I didn't have too much time to prepare, I worked three 12 hour shifts the three days before taking this (my last shift ending at 11:15pm the night before my 8:00am test, and the construction (with jackhammers) they were doing in the same building that my test was taken in. Hehe. I am within the ranking needed for the ADN program at my school, so I'm hoping and praying for an acceptance letter in the spring! I'm almost finished with all of my prerequisites as well. I'm taking microbiology this semester (have a B so far), and then statistics and chemistry in the spring.

My adjusted individual score was 95.3% and I found the ATI practice test to be very helpful. Additionally, check out this link http://www.trctc.commnet.edu/Div_Stu...marypacket.pdf to know the kinds of questions you can expect to have on the test. I studied lots of extraneous stuff from old test prep materials and would have liked to have this list before test day!

I got 93% overall on TEAS and 92%, I ranked in the top 1% nationally in all subjects except English Grammar, I scored in top 6% on that one. I had similar results on HESI. I ordered lowest cost highest rated practice books ,with explanations, on Amazon, and took one practice test in each a few weeks before the tests to familiarize myself with the format and question types. I scored in mid 80s on the practices. If anyone has questions regarding the science or math section I may be able to help.

I need help studying for science the most. It is all over the place within the sections.
When I took the test, I felt like the numbers on the math portion were small, so I was actually guessing on what the numbers were. Anybody else have this issue? When I retake, I'll be asking about it.

I got an 88. I was pretty bummed about that score, since anything below a 90 in any class is unacceptable IMO. But when I told the nursing adviser, his jaw about hit the desk and he made a big deal of it. An 88 put me in the 99th percentile for my region (and 98th nationally, I think), so yeah. I made it past the first round of the application process, so I guess it was good enough!

I had that issue. I stared and stared and stared and compared different numbers to figure out what was what. Got 100% on the math portion. Check out Khan Academy for some very good explanations
