To work/ Not work

Hello All,

I am just curious are there any moms that worked while attending a 1 year accelerated BSN program? The financial strain of not working is taking a toll on me and I am really contemplating getting a part- time job, I would love to hear ur success story.....

Well, I am not in a 1 year accelerated BSN course, but I am a mother of 2 daughers (one 7, one 2), and married. I started school and finished my Associates in Business, when I was going to go on to my Bachelor's I decided that Business is not the way I wanted to go, and I truely wante to be a nurse. Because I don't have my Bachelor's I am not able to do the "second degree" type programs. So I decided to start with getting my LPN first, so I am currently doing that, with 2 young kids, a husband, and working a full time accounting job....oh and I volunteer at the local Children's Hospital...needless tos ay I don't get much sleep!
Do I miss seeing my kids? Heck yeah! I am in class 4 nights a week from 5:30-9:30, so I only see them briefly in the morning and then on the weekends. My husband is super supportive and I love him for it. I know that in the end it will all be worth it when I can support them financially, and I am happy doing what I want to do.

Thats right it is all worth it in the end!
Well where I live there is a year wait for the accelerated BSN programs, plus I only have my associates and a Bachelor's degree is required to do the "second degree" accelared BSN programs here.
