SUCCESS!!!

So this is not nursing related....AT ALL. But beyooond the biggest success story and i have to share it with you all so you know what to do when this happens to you.

I finally got rid of my kitchen table i got in college. It was an old icky looking thing. My fiance and i wanted a nice/used one so we spent about 8 months looking. We are always looking for getting deals on things
Anyway...we came across this beautiful wooden table, only 2 years old. The people were getting rid of it because their toddlers were destroying it with water stains.

So...picture beautiful table, with lots of water stains on it. My grandma told me a trick to get them out and was 100% convinced it would work. So, we bought this with lots of nasty water stains on it. The trick is....
Take a white t-shirt and a hot iron like you would iron your clothes with. lay the white t-shirt over the water stain and put the center of iron over the stain for a couple seconds. Then you pull it off, BUFF the spot really hard with the white t-shirt and repeat until it is gone. So iron over the spot, only a couple seconds though and buff.
....WAAAAA LA! Our table is gorgeous, no water stains and BEST deal around.

Had to share my "success" even though it wasn't nursing.

Wonder if that will work on my age spots? Tattoo regret? I'll get back to you immediately if it works, or my attorney will call you when I regain consciousness in the ICU.

Thanks for the tip! I will soon try this...

Also, since you and your spouse are always looking for good deals you could also try www.freecycle.org. You put in your area and your email address and you get emails from people giving away free things and you can give away your free things all in the pursuit of lowering the amount of stuff that we throw away into landfills, etc! I gave away a 1990 Suburban on there and got a free Jeep Wrangler. They give and receive free clothes, radios, electronics, furniture,whatever....

YEA! try it, i was so reluctant. I'm like "Psht whatever grandma. What have you been smoking?"
She says you can use a white dish cloth too. So basically iron the shirt right over the water stain spot for only a few seconds. I had to do it about 8 times on each spot before it completely came out. It won't come out unless you buff it, like your waxing a car

I'll check it out. Thanks . It's more me that is concerned with getting things for deals. I'll spend months and months searching for something really great for an awesome deal haha. I've started this ever since i watched extreme couponing for my first time.

but thanks! im excited to check it out.
