Single mother, full time student, full time employee!

  1. Just right before my last year of my BSN I had my beautiful son! Things were manageable and I graduated summa cum laude with a minor in psychology. That same year I began the BSN-DNP program full-time with a specialty in psych-mental health. I also landed my dream job working in a neurotrauma ICU at a level 1 trauma center. 2 years later though my life changed and my rock/support/love crumbled - my fiancé was killed in a motorcycle accident. I never really had the opportunity to grieve but I felt I could relate to my patients and the grief and losses they've experienced as well. I ended up completely the DNP program at 27 and now happily caring for my son and doing what I dreamed of doing from day 1!!
