When our day is done, it is never about us........it is always about them!!!!!!!! We leave and go home, they are still there.....fighting a battle of life and death. Out of 8 hours, give them the minutes they need...out of 12 hours, give them personal interest. It is only 15 minutes for you, but a life time for them.

Thank you for the reminder of how it can be when a nurse has time to give good care. I really miss talking to my patients -don't get me wrong, I do talk,but I always feel rushed and have 8 things to do when I leave that room-and that's what's on my mind.
You sound like a very caring nurse. Thanks for choosing this profession
