I just wanted to let you all know that Holly's hardship continues. She is a great nurse and has been happy in peds for over a year now, but her son was diagnosed with autism earlier this year, then a couple of months ago, her and her husband found out that their daughter has a rare heart condition and had to see a specialist in Miami for a procedure. Even though she's faced all these obstacles and heartaches, she never lets it get to her. She still finds it in her to put on a smile for other people. She's the best person I know and I'm proud to call her my best friend. She truly is Jollie Holly

I am so glad you shared this story...I divorced mother with a beautiful son that will be 2 years old next month...and I hear people at work say...You think she can do it...all because I work, go to school and take care my son full time. They think it no way I can go to nursing school being a single mother...But I can show them better than I can tell them. Action speaks a whole lot louder than words. I have a bachlelor in Computer Science (boring)... I always knew in the back of my mind that nursing was my calling. But I can't wait to become THE Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. I'm doing it because I love children. But I'm not trying to brag. When it comes I will let them know "I did it"!!!! for my son and I.

You are truly one of a kind, even with the deck stacked against you, you managed to triumph. You showed your mettle. The nursing profession is very lucky to have you and you make me proud to be a nurse. Also, I'm sure you bring the same ethics of hard work and tenacity to the job, and that is the best news that your patients can ever hope for. Kudos.
