I would beg anyone in nursing school to NEVER give up. I " failed" out at 19 years old at at 33 years old I still regret it terribly !! I should have stayed in no matter how much harassment they wanted to put me though. I went ahead and finished an MPH figuring I can go back. Little did I know that once you are working and have a mortgage - no one - will loan you money for school !

They sent me a report card with a B grade on it, and then called me up and told me that they decided to fail me instead .. not as bad as your situation was , but I partially understand. I was 19, got scared that i could never do it and went for a different degree - big mistake !

I had a good friend in nursing school who failed out twice. She eventually entered into another program and graduated BSN with honors. She works in the best hospital nearby and loves it. Never give up on a dream even when it seems out of reach. Good luck!

It can be done! Every situation is unique, but perserverance in the face of hearing "no" or "you can't do it" is going to be your most important resource in these circumstances. I failed out of one nursing school, left for another one and graduated. Getting into another place where I could maintain a better life/school/work balance was key for my unique situation.
