Everyone, please do your own research before listening to a disgruntled student who obviously couldn't handle the stress. It is not as bad as he claims. There are 2 students per room at the most. They alternate cases throughout the day, so you get way more cases than you need. The only reason Wolford College has any sort of bad reputation is because students like "raging gas" trash the school when they learn they cannot handle it. I am confident I will be a well prepared CRNA when I graduate. Yes it's stressful while you're there. If you can't take the stress in anesthesia school, you shouldn't become an anesthetist. Hopefully this miserable student finds another outlet besides trashing Wolford on a forum. If you have any questions on Wolford, please direct them to the school.

Naive. I honestly didn't think it mattered which school as long as they were accredited. Wolford has 10 years. Not sure how, but they do. I'll be done soon, and i just want other people to make informed decisions. I've slogged through it and i'll be done in a couple of months, but i regret my decision.

What reason do I have to lie? Just read the other posts. There are plenty. This is my last one. Just don't be in denial. I was. Good luck to everyone. BTW, I thrive on stress... clinical stress... not stress from being jammed like sardines at the top of the bed and splitting cases or worrying about being shut down by the COA.

i am considering wolford, but i have seen more bad post about wolford than any other school. this is disturbing. what is the attrition rate at wolford? what is the 1st time board pass rate after graduation? these are a pretty good way to measure a schools peformance.

I just interviewed there and the 1st time pass rate is 93% and the second time pass is 100% the attrition rate was reported to us to be around 5%

I got accepted and loved Naples but I also got into another school so I am going to have to make a quick decision

After A LOT of study about the schools and talking to current studets at both schools I have decided Wolford. The pass rate is better than the other school I was excepted to and I talked directly to Wolford and they resolved my concerns about clinicals. The current students from Utah that are down there right now only have good things to say about the program and are happy with their decision. A few more things I thought were nice is you do not have to worry about loans. They request more than enough through grad plus loans; you do not need to worry about private loans or how you are going to survive the next semester as I have a family to feed. They record all classes so you can watch them online again or for the first time. There is talk that they except anyone; although, they still have high pass rates. If they can take a student that does not have as good of a resume as me and get them to pass boards and give them the needed clinicals to work well that is impressive. Other schools take the cream of the crop and still have lower or equal pass rates. With over 100 students per year you have a pretty high chance of getting some bad reviews. I am just going to make the best of it. I think it is more of what you take from the program and not what the program gives you.

I work at UVRMC in their CVICU in provo. Where are you at?
