Which hospital is better for admission?

I am applying to two hospitals' nurse residency in their SICU. They are in the same city. One is a level 1 trauma center, the other is level 2 with half the beds. However, the smaller hospital has magnet status and it's SICU achieved Beacon Gold award.

Do you know which one would look better for crna admission?

Level 1 trauma centers are almost always better experience for anesthesia school.

Their patient acuities are high on a regular basis, which is great prep. Try for the level 1, if not, level 2 will still be ok for NA school.

Level 1 trauma centers are almost always better experience for anesthesia school.

They care for the sickest of the sick, there's no better prep.

I am not trying to start an argument, but to my knowledge there has never been shown clear link between type of nursing experience and/or length of experience and how well SRNAs do in anesthesia school.

Admission is what I care about at this point. How well I can do in the program depends on a lot of things.

Which hospital has more experienced nurses to learn from? If you see a plethora of new grads in one ICU vs another, it may be more telling. I would work in the environment where it seems the friendliest and I could spend years there without pulling my hair out.

larger facility, level 1 will all lead to sicker patients and better experiences for admission to school. Work environment will be tougher but just get through it.
