What's your program's physical assessment course like?

I have heard that different programs have various physical assessment courses. What does your school require you do? Is it integated into your program curriculum, or is it separate and paired with other MSN students? I have heard of some courses requiring prostate exams, is that true?

No. We don't do any vag, prostate, or breast exams- only on the mannequins. We were together with NP students for the core Physical assessment class. We also have a separate anesthesia oriented PA class where we concentrate more on anesthetic managment and present to our faculty like they do in rounds.
The core PA class was easy- just a lot of theory and then practicing it on each other and dummies but nothing too personal. the anesthesia students didn't take it as serious as the NP students.
