Just wondering if anyone else is currently interviewing or has recently interviewed with Villanova University? I have an interview next week and while I have been preparing based on these forums and co-workers. I was wondering if anything has changed recently. i.e. this year.
Any input would be great!
I interviewed at Villanova and was recently accepted. It was a really nice interview. I interviewed with the Associate Director but apparently you can interview with the Director as well. The interview was at Chester-Crozier Medical Center. Unlike other schools, it was not a pannel interview. It was a basic interview in which she asked me questions about my ICU, patients, equiptment, and so on. She also asked some CCRN questions that everyone should probably know after a year or so in a high acuity ICU. I studied my CCRN book (Pass CCRN) which helped a lot because I needed to refresh my memory about lab values and medication ranges. I chose Nova because the program is very reasonable in price ($50K total program cost), has a great reputation (two hospitals in the area send their employees there) and the students I spoke with seemed to be enjoying the program. I also like the fact that you can take something like 5 courses prior to starting the program which cuts down on the courseload during the program. People in this forum always seem to be interested in the grades of accpeted students so here are mine: 4.0 GPA and GRE 1040 (I scored poorly on the GRE because I didn't study. That was stupid on my part). I hope this helps someone.
