Hello everyone. I was accepted into the Veterans Administration component of the United States Army Graduate Program in Anesthesia Nursing. I am currently a VA employee. The application process has been a long one and I have worked hard to get to this point. I am looking to communicate with anyone in the program now, anyone who has been accepted to start June 2013 and especially I would love to talk to any other VA applicants that have been accepted or that are currently in USAGPAN.

Specializes in Anesthesia, SICU, CICU.

I am currently still waiting to hear back. Do you know how many VA applicants are taken each year?

it depends on how many people have found a VA to fund their seat in the program

Hello, cjpol, vtrobinson, and chudder!

I'm an Army Reservist who's been accepted by Northeastern Univ, but OML'd by the Army for LTHET. I'm unsure about whether I'll be joining the USAGPAN class beginning Summer 2013 or Summer 2014, but either way, I'll be lurking around this board as the rest of you move through the process in hopes of gaining some insight.

Congratulations to each of you! I look forward to reading your posts about the process and your personal experiences.

Good luck! :)

Good luck to everyone on the OML!! Stay flexible :)

Hi everyone, I recently was accepted to the USAGPAN VA employee component for summer of 2013. I was just offered sponsorship by my home VA in Denver. Woohoo!! I'm excited that I will be returning to Denver after my 3 years of training. Can anyone comment on the exact start date?

thanks!

You'd have to call the school house to get a date... last year we reported at the beginning of June..

Your new VA phase 2 site is now in Memphis FYI :)

Hey I'm a current VA student in the USAGPAN. Four students are taken each year and 30-50 army students. You will be contacted soon with plenty of information so just hold tight until then (I went through the process last year so I know the seat your in). Just work on getting sponsorship from a VA and enjoy your free time. I think around June 10th, will be your start date

Hi there, I'm in your same shoes. I agree that it has been a long process and I too have worked pretty hard. We are both very fortunate to have this great opportunity. I'm looking forward to the next stage of my life and career very much. You can pm me any time you like.

thanks
