Good news for the people in Oklahoma. The University of Tulsa is up for initial accreditation from the Council on Accreditation for the Fall of 2016. Hopefully all goes well and we will finally have a CRNA program in the state of Oklahoma.

Yes. I was accepted to FIU in Miami, Florida. So big move in July. I'll start online doctoral classes in January. If you want the option of staying in OK try looking at TCU. There is a distance learning option with St Francis as the primary clinical site. You only have to spend one semester in residency in Fort Worth. Although it comes with a hearty price tag as well, 93K+.

Congratulations on getting accepted. I work at Hillcrest and they are also a training site for TCU. Newman looks like they will be pulling out of Hillcrest as well. One of our CRNA's who graduated from Newman mentioned that Tulsa will more than likely have their clinicals at Hillcrest if they get approved.

Another update. Initial class of 15. Around $100K tuition. 3 years, DNP.

Yeap. Had a CRNA that graduated from Newman tell me the reason that they pull out of Tulsa was due to the amount of cases. RRNA's at Hillcrest were doing around 1400 cases compared to 900-1000 in Wichita.

The University of Tulsa had their onsite review last month. Should know something mid-January if they got accredited.

Got an email from the Director of the Nursing school at Tulsa today. They need to hire a Director and Assistant Director for the CRNA program to get accredited by May of this year. Not sure if they will now be able to make the Fall 18 start date as planned.

I do not see any update on their website. Maybe they are not ready yet this year.

I received an email from Tulsa today and they will not start their program this Fall. It looks like they plan to start Fall of 2019 but they need to hire a Director and Assistant Director before they can become accredited.

Not sure if this a good sign or not for Tulsa getting their program up and running, but about a month ago the Director and Assistant Director job was placed on Gas Work. I checked Gas Work today and the jobs are no longer posted. I'm not sure if they have been filled but I hope that is a good sign for Tulsa getting their CRNA program up and running.

It's October 30, 2018 has there been any update on the CRNA program coming to Oklahoma? It sure would be nice if it did, but it's also good to know you can do the distant learning front TCU. One semester away beats 3 years away.

No news that I've heard of. I'm in the process of interviewing at an out of state school. Didn't get an interview at TCU that would have kept me in state.

Which school are you interviewing at if you don't mind me asking? Or if you give me your email I'll send you an email. Hopefully something will come out soon on when and if they will do program here in Oklahoma. Good luck with your interview.
