by amiro31 Jan 12, '11Hi,
Congratulations on you acceptance to UB. I just want to start a thread where we can all share about getting ID's, books, registration for classes etc. Any advice from current UB SRNAs would be welcome to what to expect for 1st year of school. Thanks.
Print and share with friends and family.
Compliments of allnurses.com.

- Feb 5, '11 by backtoschool_againCongrats. I'm currently in my second semester at UB. FYI don't expect to know what you are registering for early, you will eventually get a letter. That being said its tough getting books early. There is a graduate student orientation you can go to and all the info for ur ub card. So don't worry about any of that stuff. First semester is tough, make sure your up to speed with math, lots of dosage calcs and gas laws first semester. Just be ready to do a lot of reading. Basic of anesthesia by miller, clinical anesthesia by barash are good books that you will use in class and ones you could get to start reading through. Secrets of anesthesia by Duke is a good review as well.
Good luck - May 9, '11 by DavidsmHi, congrats on getting accepted. It is nice to have that step out of the way. I had my interview and got my acceptance letter last October and have been anxious about it ever since. I'm going to be moving from Texas with my wife and baby. As far as I've heard about registering for class we just have to wait until we get a letter at the end of May (is what I was told). I did my UB card online but you have to pick it up in person so it was kind of pointless. Anyone found some good places to live? Preferably close to campus?

I decided to do graduate housing since they are town houses locate on north campus. Stay away from south campus because it is not safe.
