Hi everyone,

I applied to the St. Elizabeth's CRNA program and have my interview tomorrow. I been doing practice Interview questions that I find online but I wanted to find someone familiar with the interview process for tips. What should I focus on today? All information will be very appreciated!

Hey,

Thanks for getting back to my post and congratulations on the acceptance. My interview went well, everyone was extreamly nice. Right now I'll just be crossing my fingers for an acceptance letter. Did they let you know via email? Or actuall mail? Again, congrats!

I interviewed last week and haven't heard anything:/ How was your interview overall? Definitely stressful!

ICURNBSNCCRN It took them a little over a week from the time of my interview to when my acceptance letter was postmarked. I was extremely nervous at the beginning of the interview. Partly because it was my first and only interview but also because St. Elizabeth was my #1 school and I wanted so badly to do well. I should have been more confident but you live and learn. Two or three times I told them I didn't know the answers to their questions. It wasn't due to lack of preparation, it was more because my ICU doesn't see some of what they asked me, which was absolutely true. I think that although they would have preferred I had those specific experiences, they were pleased I was honest and didn't try to BS my way through them. My saving grace was I felt I did really well at explaining my reasoning for pursuing anesthesia and what experiences brought me to this point. I also made a small joke at the very end of the interview, not saying that made any difference but it definitely gave them a good laugh and showed I'm not just a nervous nelly. Good luck in your future, hope you get some great news!

That's awesome that you were accepted!! How did you do on the pretest? Scary start to an interview!

I think I only got half of them right. I have my CCRN, have always done well academically. A ten question test at the start of of an interview is not indicative of your intellectual or clinical cability in my opinion. The content of three of the questions I missed I had never seen before. I went back over all my notes/prep material for CCRN after the interview to see if it was lack of prep but it wasn't. Oh well, if anything it goes to show that even though you might not do well on it you can still get in. Stay positive

I work in the Sicu at the Cleveland clinic but I am originally from Youngstown. My letter of intent was pretty brief.
