Seeking CRNA Schools to Apply to While Finishing BSN

Hey everyone,

I have been looking for a thread about this, but after not finding much, I thought I'd post and see if I can get some answers.

I am itching to apply to CRNA schools as soon as I can. I have 3 years of surgical ICU experience at three major level 1 trauma centers (Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN; University of Utah Hospital and Intermountain Medical Center in Salt Lake City, UT).

I will take the CCRN in January and feel confident that I'll pass, my practice tests are looking good. I plan on taking the GRE too, next year. My cum GPA is 3.72, A's in all my science and nursing courses.

My biggest hangup is my BSN. I amd doing it via University of Louisiana - Lafayette, and won't have it completed until February 2015.

The CRNA PD at Westminster College here in Salt Lake City, UT said that he feels that the BSN is "more of a formality" than anything and encouraged me to apply as long as I'd be done with the BSN by the time the program began.

However, some schools I've talked to say that you have to have the BSN in hand when you apply (such as Newman, Georgetown).

Does anyone know of any schools that will allow me to apply while I am finishing the BSN, as long as I finish before I would potentially start? I have heard Allegheny Valley Hospital School of Anesthesia does something like this. Any others??

Hamot in Erie, PA allowed it. 2 in my class got their BSN in December before we started in January.
