Scranton / Wyoming Valley CRNA program

Nursing Students SRNA

Published

Hello all I have been searching for any information on the University of Scranton/ Wyoming Valley's Nurse Anesthesia program and cannot find any recent posts. Does anyone know anything about this program or interview process?

Also, I noticed that this school is not ranked very high on the US News' ranking of Nurse Anesthesia schools. Does anyone know why some schools are ranked higher than others and do these rankings accurately reflect the quality of the school's education and the school's ability to prepare me to become a great anesthesia provider? I read the rankings with a grain of salt as I believe that with anything in life it is our own responsibility to make the best of any opportunity that we are given - whether it is at the number one school of the last ranked school. Thanks in advance for your help!

I got the same letter as well but I'm already starting at another school this way. I really liked the program at Scranton tho. Based on what I saw at the interview. Anybody knows what the CH stands for?

Ok, Marco and ICUjpp, I did receive my letter also yesterday. It appears we got in contingent on the contract negotiations. Anyways I will be filling my form out and mailing it back today. What address did you guys mailed it back to? Or did you just fax it in?

It should have came with a self addressed envelope for you to put the form in to send back.

I really do hope their negotiations get resolved here pretty soon. I still think it is very unfair to use student admission as part of their bargaining points:no:!

So I talked to Grad admissions, just curious if the letters we got was actually a "yes you got in, but we have to wait for commonwealth Health" and they said, its no guarantee a decision letter. Kinda sucks but decisions still holding out until Aug 1st latest from my understanding:banghead:!

Idk how they could wait that long... It's ridiculous the more I think about it, the more irritated I get. They should've been honest in the beginning. The disorganization worries me
