Samuel Merritt & OHSU CRNA Program Applicants

Students SRNA

Hello, everyone! Hope your week is going well!

Just wondering if anyone has heard from SMU or OHSU regarding interviews?

SMU did send out an email a month ago stating interview offers would be made by mid-January, so I'm checking my phone and email every hour. ;)

I got an interview offer from OHSU last night. Still no word from SMU since the email you mentioned.

Congrats, and good luck on your interview! :) I'm still holding out hope for either school since I'd really like to stay on the West Coast.

I am waiting to hear from OHSU.....also chronically checking my phone. Hamster-did yours come by mail or email?

I emailed the admission counselor for SMU and they said that invites would be sent by the end of this week. I haven't received an invite yet, but I just got word that a friend's coworker got an invite yesterday (Friday).

Last year, invites were sent from Friday-Monday... so I'm hoping I hear back by Monday, but I feel like I've already been disqualified from being interviewed :sorry:

Good luck to everyone that applied!

I emailed OHSU on Wednesday, they are still going through application and contacting applicants "over the next few days". This is the worst part.

I had some technical issues with my email, and was supposed to be notified by OHSU via email on the 20th. I got a call from the school some days later.

Does anyone know what the interview questions are like (clinical vs. more personal)? I'd really appreciate any information. :)

There is a panel of 5-8 people. More personal questions. why you want to be a CRNA, your experience so far, professional/ethical type questions, how you resolve conflict, about being a pt advocate. those types. Good luck to you.

I am guessing that since I still haven't heard anything, it's not going to happen this year for me:cry:. What kind of ice cream is the best to cry into? Chocolate? sigh.

I guess it is a good thing that I didn't have time to buy ice cream or cry.... because I got my letter to interview today!
