re-certification/continuing education

  1. 0 Hi everyone! Was just wondering if any CRNA looking at the board out there could answer my questions about the continuing education and the re-certification required after graduation from a CRNA program.

1.) How many hours a year (on average) are completed and how are they completed, i.e. weekend seminars, part-time courses, etc.

2.) Is it difficult to complete the hours while working as a CRNA?

The minimum requirement is 40 CEs in a two year period. It is not difficult to acquire these CEs- it can be done through seminars, state association meetings, national association meetings, on-line offerings and written materials in journals.
