I just passed my NCLEX RN and I am registered in New York. Would like to know more information about becoming an CRNA? What experience do I need?
You need 2-3 yrs of ICU experience (preferably adult) before you can apply.
Did you graduate with an ADN or a BSN? CRNA requires a BSN or Bachelors in a science along with ADN. A minimum of 1 year ICU experience but most prefer 2 to 3 years. A 3.0 GPA, some look at overall and others look at last 60 hours. Most require the GRE. Most prefer CCRN. Do a lot of research on the school you prefer. There are sites out there that list requirements for all the schools out there.
Part of CRNA school is being in charge of your learning. What that means is you will not be spoon fed the material. So, look at the question you just asked. You're asking to be spoon fed the answer. There are many resources out there that will answer your general questions. Even in this forum, these VERY BASIC answers have been answered multiple times. Another good resource is allcrnaschools.com
