I'm in my 4th semester which I think is the hardest for my particular school. I'm in clinical 40-45 hrs/week (plus travel time), and I have 2 classes per week (one is 3 hours, one is around 4 hours). Plus study time. Once this semester is over it'll just be clinical (again 40+ hours/week) and one short class per week. The first year was mostly didactic with some clinical once a week or once every other week. Wasn't as time-consuming as this current semester, but it was a lot more studying time.

Thank you for specifics! I understand that every program is different but I'm trying to gauge the reality of it all in regards to a family/school balance.

In July I averaged 45 hours a week in clinical, then 35 of studying (~5 a night, even week nights). August average was 62 hours a week, still studying about 35 a week (more on Saturday/Sunday). TBD what September will bring.

Thank you! This is very helpful...it's actually less than I thought!

4 days/40 scheduled hrs a week in clinical, but you need to be there an hour early to set up room and do preops and frequently stay late. Then at least 2 hrs a night doing care plans. The one day in class is 10 hrs, then whatever time you need to study for classes. Then commute time. Absolute minimum is 60, I spend about 70 a week. This is the same throughout the entire clinical portion of the program so it never really gets to be less.

70 hours a week between lecture, studying and clinical. Maybe more some weeks.
